Civil Service Philatelic Society
Coronavirus Covid-19 Update
Face to face meetings were suspended due to Covid-19 and the loss of our Civil Service London venue, Council suspended the meetings until March 2021, hoping we would have a new venue to announce in 2021 and that restrictions would be lifted. Although Covid-19 guidance has eased and restrictions have ended, we have not been able to secure a new location and so meetings are now held online for members and invited guests only.
Welcome to the Web Site for the CSPS. The aim of the Society is to stimulate the collection of postage stamps, postcards, postal history etc whether a beginner, specialist or general collector.
Full membership is open to members or retired members of Her Majesty`s Civil Establishments, Government Agencies and certain other analogous establishments, e.g. the Post Office and British Telecom.
Full life membership is £10-00 payable to Civil Service Philatelic Society.
The meetings are currently held in the Southwest Wing of Bush House off the Strand on the first working Monday of the month (except August) commencing at 6pm. The meeting place is open from 5pm.
Sale of material
There is a flourishing Exchange Branch open to all members.
This normally takes place once a year and is done entirely by post.
An auction of members’ items usually takes place at the end of every meeting. In December a Grand Auction takes over the whole evening.
A Bulletin is issued free to members, currently twice year.
